BUILD A LOW COST SHOP AIR FILTER
I have a basement shop and even with dust collection, you are still left with less than stellar air quality. Since my joists are open, I decided to build an air filter that fits neatly between the joist space.
I was able to put this together quite cheaply. The plywood I already had and the fan was unused and just sitting in storage. The only thing I bought was the filter itself for about $10.
Admittedly, the fan isn't quite up to snuff for flow but for now it's better than nothing. My plan will be to replace this with 3 - 120v AC server fans from one of the usual Chinese suppliers.
